Introductory text
is the replica car of Audouin-Dubreuil, the deputy chief during the third Citroën expedition. The Yellow Cruise Expedition is divided into two groups: the China Group and the Pamir Group. This last group, equipped with P17 like this one, rallies Beirut to the West Gate of Beijing (12 115 km) in 315 days (April 4, 1931 - February 12, 1932). It follows two other scientific expeditions organized by Citroën, in 1922 with the first crossing of the Sahara and the Black Cruise in 1924. The dissemination of photographs, paintings and films of these adventures still create a pleasant feeling today, that of excitement. Of course, the majority of this Citroën model have a more traditional use: hauling logs or cannons, plowing fields or transporting tourists to winter sport resorts.
